The Maritime Institute of Malaysia (MIMA) will be hosting a seminar on the 'Long Range Identification and Tracking System'.
The LRIT is a designated International Maritime Organization (IMO) system designed to collect and disseminate vessel position information received from IMO member states ships that are subject to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS).
This talk will provide the opportunity to enhance knowledge on the LRIT and its implications for shipping in Malaysia. The talk will be delivered by officials from the Peninsular Malaysia Marine Department.
